If you have ever had the pleasure of being in Cheyenne, Wyoming in the summer, you may have attended Cheyenne Frontier Days, sometimes called ‘The Granddaddy (or Daddy) of ’em All®’. This is my view of the Green Dragon and it is their view as well. As one who always looked forward to trips to Lancaster County and especially Friday’s at the Green Dragon, I will tell you it has a special place in my heart.

Alas times change and what was once the quintessential Amish Country Farmer’s Market, is now a shell of its former self. This is not to say it is not worth a visit, it just means you need to visit its sister market Roots, on Tuesdays to capture the flavor of what the Green Dragon was like in its heyday.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.
